Hello, my name is Ashely, and I started AVC furniture up over 8 years ago now. We have moved from the top of the market in Stockport to a much improved shop at the bottom of the market next to the banks, so it’s easier access for all.
I've worked in the furniture trade from 1978. Anyone who was around Stockport at that time do you remember New Days? Where Argos is now. Wow memories.
I am old fashioned and believe if you treat people the correct way they will be back and so will their friends. We have now built up fantastic customers who I couldn't do without. So thank you to the loyal customers who come to me first for their furniture needs. We put our success down to these loyal customers and the team’s hard work. Our aim is to make sure our customers are pleased with their purchases.
The shop is a little Aladdin’s Cave, you never know what you'll find! Our major special is factory seconds in quality mattresses. Which in english means the mattresses are brand new, just have a few transit marks on, so cannot be sold with the brand new status. Or simply, cancelled orders, which cannot go back to the store. Some fantastic bargains can be picked up.
We don’t make big profits (I wish though!) but a little does go a long way in my case.
